About Us — Pyzetee

Pyzetee makes solid-wood furniture for everyday life. Our aim is simple: build pieces that feel honest, feel sturdy, and feel good to touch. Tops are smooth, edges are gentle, frames stay square, and joints fit cleanly. You’re welcome to visit our small workshop and showroom at 5442 Questa Dr, Abilene, TX 79605—seeing the work in person is the easiest way to understand it.

Materials & Sustainability

We choose hardwood dried carefully in special ovens so it stays steady in heat, cold, and humidity. Most pieces use white oak, walnut, maple, ash, or cherry. We pick boards for strength and a calm, natural look, then place them so the color and grain run nicely across the top. Bases can be matching solid wood for a warm, classic feel, or painted steel with a tough finish from small U.S. shops for a slimmer, modern look. All finishes are low-odor and safer for home use. A natural oil gives a soft, matte feel and can be freshened later with simple steps. A clear protective finish adds extra everyday protection while keeping the wood’s natural look. We keep simple notes for each batch—what wood came in and which finish went out—so touch-ups and future matching are easy.
Common U.S. suppliers include Baillie Lumber, Rex Lumber, Northwest Hardwoods, Baird Brothers, Bell Forest Products, Hearne Hardwoods, Frank Paxton Lumber (Paxton), and distributors of Weyerhaeuser products. Hardware and metal parts are often sourced through McMaster-Carr or Fastenal, with accurate metal cutting by SendCutSend or Xometry.

Products & Lead Times

We focus on pieces people use most: dining tables for gathering, coffee and side tables that set a room, consoles for tidy entryways, and desks with smart cable holes and clear workspace. Each design comes in practical sizes that fit real homes, not just showrooms. Some sizes and finishes are in stock and usually ship in 1–2 business days. Made-to-order items take about 3–5 weeks, depending on design and finishing. We build in small batches (about 20–40 pieces per month) to keep timelines realistic and quality consistent. If your timing is strict, we’ll say clearly what’s ready now and what we can build in time.

Pyzetee buys wood and materials from long-standing U.S. suppliers. Depending on the piece and availability, common sources include Baillie Lumber, Rex Lumber, Northwest Hardwoods, Baird Brothers, Bell Forest Products, Hearne Hardwoods, and Weyerhaeuser distributors. Hardware and metal parts are typically supplied through McMaster-Carr or Fastenal, and metal work is handled by trusted partners such as SendCutSend or Xometry. These partners help keep parts consistent and make replacements quick if service is ever needed. If you want the exact sources used for your order, we’re happy to share the recorded supplier names, finishes, and dates for that batch.

We lay out boards that look right together and join them into a strong, stable top. Busy spots—where the legs meet the top or where a long span needs help—get extra support so the piece stays steady over time. Hardware is set neatly into the wood so putting the table together (and taking it apart later) won’t wear out the joints. Legs include small adjustable feet so the table sits firm even on uneven floors. Our dining tables are made for real life—big platters, laptops, art projects, long talks. With the right base, the top resists wobble and twisting and simply works. Need more legroom, wheelchair space, or softer, family-friendly edges? We adjust the design to fit your home.

Our Process — From Wood to Finished Piece

We start each build by tagging the incoming wood with its source and letting it rest in the Abilene shop. This calm step lets the boards settle to local air before they become a table, which helps them behave better later.

Next, we plan the top. Boards are laid on a long bench and moved around until the color and grain feel calm and continuous. We take quick photos, mark the final layout, and follow those marks so the same pleasing pattern shows up in the finished surface.

We cut parts to size and prepare the places where things connect. Holes for hardware and plates for legs are placed with care so everything meets where it should. Then we do a full test fit: top and base come together, we check steadiness, and we confirm knee room, overhangs, and chair space. If something needs a small adjustment, it happens here.

We move to handwork. Every edge is softened so sleeves don’t snag and elbows rest comfortably. Natural marks like small knots are smoothed so they add character without catching. Surfaces are sanded in gentle steps until the table feels even from corner to corner. Corners can be more rounded for families with young children or kept squarer for a sharper look—both are finished to feel good in the hand.

We apply the chosen finish. Natural oil brings out the grain with a warm, matte glow and can be refreshed later with an easy wipe-on kit. A clear protective finish adds more everyday protection for kitchens and workspaces while keeping the natural color visible. After finishing, the piece rests so the surface sets well and is ready for real use.

We do a final check in natural light. The top should feel flat under the palm; the base should feel balanced when lightly rocked; hardware should start and tighten smoothly; the finish should look even from all sides. We take a few photos and update the order notes—wood type, finish choice, edge style, and any extras like cable holes or a matching bench. These records make future care, touch-ups, or ordering a second matching piece simple.

We pack for travel with the same care we build with. Tops and bases are wrapped with foam and protected at the corners. A small kit with labeled screws, the right driver, and simple steps goes in the box. When the shipment arrives, setup is straightforward and the table is ready to use. If you want extra guidance, we can include finish samples, a short care card, and easy photo tips for keeping the surface at its best. If you plan a move later, we share repacking advice so the table can travel safely again.

Custom Orders

Custom work stays simple. Tell us the room size, how many seats you need, the chairs you have, and any special needs like cable holes or rounder corners. We provide quick sketches and basic drawings to agree on size, leg placement, and clearances. Then we lock in the details: wood type, finish, edge shape, stain match if needed, light carving or inlay, desk cable holes, or a matching bench. We hold 4–8 custom slots per month so schedules stay reliable. If you’re matching an existing piece, photos in natural light help us guide you to the closest wood and finish.

Packing & Delivery

We wrap the top and base with foam and corner guards and include a clearly labeled hardware kit and the right driver. Most U.S. orders ship with UPS, FedEx, or DHL and include tracking; bigger tables may travel on a pallet for safer handling. In the Abilene / greater West Texas area, we can arrange delivery and, if needed, place the piece in the room you choose. If you ever need to repack for a move, we’ll resend instructions and share practical tips so the furniture arrives safe a second time.

Pyzetee recommends wiping spills right away and dusting with a soft cloth. Coasters or trivets help with very hot items. Long, direct sun and very humid rooms can speed up color changes, so a bit of shade and steady air helps. Oil-finished pieces can be freshened about once a year with a simple kit from us. Clear-coated pieces do well with a gentle, non-silicone polish; strong cleaners are not needed. Real wood changes a little with light and time—that slow shift is natural and part of its character.
